About the studio
Alley Cat Ceramics is a membership and class based pottery studio in Indianapolis, IN. The studio offers amenities to artists who are looking for studio space, studio storage, and firing services. The studio provides access to kiln firings, shared workspaces, wheels, a slab roller, extruder, clay, glazes, events at Patina Gallery and more.
We do not currently have a storefront where guests can purchase ceramics directly, but we have public access during open studio hours (every Monday and Wednesday from 4-8pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 12-6pm) to check out the space and ask questions about classes and memberships!
About The owner
Alexa Adamson (she/ they) is the owner of Alley Cat Ceramics. She received her BFA in Ceramics from Herron School of Art + Design at IU Indianapolis in 2017. Alexa has worked in community studios, production pottery facilities, and private studios before starting Alley Cat Ceramics in 2021. The current brick and mortar location at East Michigan Street in Indianapolis came to be in January 2022.
Alexa loves to make art on both the wheel and by hand. She is inspired by folk art, nature, and typography.
