Looking for a fun activity to do during the summer? Let’s play with clay! We’ll have two instructors guiding students through our age appropriate projects. All supplies and materials are provided. Please note as you book: this is an art studio where adults are making work. Members shelves may have art that contains mature content (such as curse words, anatomy). We will use our best judgement to move what might not be age appropriate out of sight.
July 6 10-11:30 am/ cookie cutter magnets (ages 5-8)
Students will be provided with clay slabs (rolled out clay) to cut out and stamp their own future magnets! After all magnets have been cut out, students will be able to stamp and paint to make them uniquely their own! Parents or guardians 18 and older must be present for the class.
We will glaze and glue magnet backings onto the projects, and they will be ready for pickup 2 weeks later.
July 7 10-11:30 am/ pinch pot monsters (ages 9-12)
Students will learn basic handbuilding skills such as pinch pots, and slipping and scoring, to make monsters and creatures. Students will be able to paint their creations after assembling them. Parents must sign a liability waiver when dropping child off.
We will glaze projects, and they will be ready for pickup 2 weeks later.
July 8 10-11:30am/ coil built vases (ages 13-16)
Students will learn basic handbuilding skills such as coil building, to create a custom shaped vase. After creating their vase, students can add texture and paint the vases. Parents must sign a liability waiver when dropping child off.
We will glaze the projects and they will be ready for pickup 2 weeks later.
