Students will use both handbuilding and wheelthrowing techniques to create various gardening themed works. Students should have a basic understanding of throwing on the wheel (can center, throw a cylinder, and trim). Projects will include plant stakes, bee cups, herb strippers, ollas/ in ground irrigation pots, flower frogs, berry bowls, and wind chimes. Students will be provided with 50 lbs of clay, a basic tool kit for the duration of the class, and studio glazes. Students will also have shelf and designated open studio access for the duration of the class.
